What we do
Physical and Environmental Planning supports UC Merced’s academic vision by developing the framework for a distinctive physical environment that contributes to a high-quality learning, work and living environment.
Physical and Environmental Planning activities include:
- Preparing planning studies and evaluations of complex land use issues to support executive campus decision making.
- Directing environmental permitting activities that include coordinating CEQA review and environmental compliance on all campus capital projects.
- Maintaining relationships throughout the campus and among governmental entities and, local, state and federal agencies regarding UC Merced's physical development.
